Fortis Energy has won Turkish Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality tender to build and operate a new 5,980 kWp solar plant. Municipality has signed the agreement with Fortis Energy on the building of the solar power plant. Fortis Energy plan to invest a total of TRY 136 million in the project.
The power plant, which will be built on an area of 100 thousand square meters, is expected to generate over 10 million kilowatt-hours of clean and renewable energy annually, which is enough to power 4,000 homes and prevent the emission of 7 million kilograms of CO2 equivalent from fossil fuels. It is planned to be operational in Q1 2025.
