Dolovo Biogas Power Plant, with an installed capacity of 2MWe, located in the city of Pančevo, Serbia, is operating at full capacity. Added to Fortis' operational portfolio in mid-2024, the plant produces over 18.5 million kWh of energy annually, meeting the electricity needs of over 8,000 households.
Powered by organic waste such as agricultural residues, food scraps and animal manure, the plant prevents methane gas emissions from these wastes into the environment by converting them into electrical energy. Furthermore, as a renewable energy solution, it prevents 15 million kg of CO2 equivalent emissions caused by fossil fuels.
Biogas energy, as an essential part of the green transition, provides a clean and economical energy solution for households while supporting environmental sustainability and contributing to a more livable world for future generations.
