Fortis Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Hakki Baris KARACA as the new General Manager of Fortis Energy Türkiye.

Mr. Karaca brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in the renewable energy sector. Over the past decade, he has been actively involved in the finalization of over 400 MW of EPC projects across Türkiye and surrounding countries and has developed more than 500 MW of solar and wind power projects across multiple markets. He has also led and participated in M&A processes totaling more than 1 GW, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the commercial, financial and technical dimensions of clean energy investments.

Prior to this role, he served as Chief Business Development Officer at Fortis Energy and previously held leadership roles at Hopewind, JA Solar and Gehrlicher Merk Solar. His efforts have contributed to the company’s strong presence in key regional markets including Greece, Serbia, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Armenia, Jordan and the USA.

As GM of Fortis Energy Türkiye, Mr. Karaca will lead the company’s next phase of growth—driving innovation, expanding project development and accelerating the energy transition in the region. We congratulate Mr. Karaca on his new role and look forward to continued success under his leadership.
