Fortis Energy, a subsidiary of UCK Holding, began its operations in energy production in 2014 under the names Başakkent Enerji and Berak Enerji. Active in the renewable energy sector since its inception, Berak Enerji rebranded as Fortis Enerji in 2019. This transformation was further consolidated in 2021 with the merger of Başakkent Enerji, bringing all operations under the Fortis Enegy brand. Fortis Energy continues to expand its investments across the Balkans, the Netherlands, Spain and Türkiye.

Fortis operates solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 229 MWp, generating approximately 360 million kWh of electricity annually In Southeast Europe. In addition, Fortis operates five biogas power plants in Türkiye and Serbia, with a combined installed capacity of 21 MWe. These facilities run continuously at full capacity, generating over 190 million kWh of electricity per year and producing organic fertilizer as a by-product. Long-term plans include upgrading biogas into biomethane to further increase energy efficiency and sustainability.

In addition to its 250 MW in power plant investments, Fortis has delivered over 130 MW of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services, bringing the company’s total completed project portfolio to over 380 MW. Across Europe, Fortis executes turnkey EPC projects for wind, solar and biogas energy facilities.
