Fortis Energy has started the work for the Marmaray Rooftop-PV project, starting with the mounting of structures at the Halkalı station. The installation, carried out by Fortis's experienced engineering team using modern equipment, global quality and high safety standards, will ensure the normal operation of the train line during the process.
The rooftop solar power plants to be installed at the Istanbul Marmaray suburban train stations, owned by the Turkish State Railways, will have a total installed capacity of 10,637 kWp. Solar panels, to be placed on the roofs of 26 train stations, will meet the electricity needs of the station operations through renewable and clean energy, setting a significant example for sustainable urban transportation.
