A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Karabıyıklı Solar Power Plant, with a capacity of 5,980 kWp, owned by the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality and undertaken by Fortis Energy. Attendees included our Chairman Atilla Üçkardeş, Metropolitan Mayor Fırat Görgel, former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci, Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, members of parliament, Provincial Police Chief Nurettin Gökduman, NGO representatives and Fortis Energy officials. Expected to generate over 10 million kWh of clean, renewable energy annually, the plant is set to become operational in 2025. Covering 60% of the Metropolitan Municipality’s energy needs, it will provide annual savings of up to 50 million TL. The project involves an investment of 140 million TL.
